I’m from America, but I moved to China in 2011 and founded Language Card Games in 2016. Never having much success learning languages in typical ways, what always worked for me was making it fun. So nowadays I always place high value on creative, organic, entertaining, and gamified methods, while still forming effective routines and habits, too.
I would love to be your coach because I believe if I can learn foreign languages, truly, anybody can! If your thinking is too often like this: I’m not a good student, I’m not a good language learner, I don’t have a good memory, I don’t like going to class or studying these textbooks…give me a chance to change your mind and show you how awesome language learning is and what you’re capable of!

I know learning to speak a foreign language can often be intimidating and embarrassing…and I speak from experience here! I mean, how to break the ice and start the conversation with a native speaker? It’s a real challenge to say the least!
I moved from America, my native country, to Spain. And I’ve made great efforts over the years to learn Spanish. One thing that I found, which really helped me, was games. Nowadays, I don’t travel anywhere without a pack of cards in my bag. Games allow everybody to relax, loosen up, start chatting, and make friends. Once you feel encouraged and have friends to support you, anything is possible!
